The mission of the Draper City Police Department is to work in partnership with the community to recognize and resolve  public safety concerns of all citizens by providing quality, professional service in an honest and ethical manner.

2016 Goals


Enhance Community Outreach


  • Merge Neighborhood Watch Program and Draper Emergency Preparedness Districts
  • Fully implement Ice Black Box Neighborhood Watch technology
  • Develop and implement community policing reporting system

Employee Development


  • Provide Implicit Bias training to all staff
  • Provide De-Escalation training to all uniform personnel
  • Exceed P.O.S.T. hourly training requirements by 200%

Reduce Crime


  • Create a trails education and enforcement program
  • Supplement Communities That Care with Drug Free Communities 
  • funding to reduce juvenile delinquent behavior and substance abuse
  • Implement a comprehensive educational strategy to reduce vehicle and residential burglaries
  • Analyze the effectiveness of the School Resource
