Responsibilities


The Planning Division is responsible for applying the Draper City’s ordinances and regulations to:
  • Subdivisions
  • Commercial site plans
  • Conditional use permits
  • Similar application types
This Division is responsible for processing applications for:
  • Zone changes
  • Variances
  • Special exceptions
  • Land Use Map changes
  • Development Agreements
  • Similar application types

Mission


The Planning Division provides regular assistance to the Draper City Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, City Council, and other boards and commissions. They also work toward performing excellent reviews of all developments, look for creative solutions to problems and work closely with the Engineering Division, Public Works, and Fire Department.

This Division strives to preserve and protect the city's historic past, and be proactive in guiding future City land use decisions.

Meetings


The Planning Commission meets two times a month on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm, Draper City Hall, 1020 E. Pioneer Road. The meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
