Deputy Chief Eining began his law enforcement career in September of 1991 with the South Jordan Police Department. In February of 1992, he joined the Sandy City Police Department. Deputy Chief Eining has served in a variety of assignments during his 25 years of service. These assignments included patrol, field training officer, K-9 officer, DARE officer, detective, school resource supervisor, community response team supervisor, and SWAT team commander. He has held leadership positions in patrol, detectives, and administration.
In February of 2014, Eining became the Deputy Chief of the Draper City Police Department. In his current assignment, Deputy Chief Eining oversees the daily operations of the police department to include records division, patrol, detectives, and animal services.
Deputy Chief Eining was awarded a Masters of Business Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2010. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Columbia College in 2006. Deputy Chief Eining graduated from the FBI National Academy Session 230 in 2007. He is a member of the International Chiefs of Police Association, Police Executive Research Forum, Utah Police Officers Association, and the Utah Chiefs of Police Association.
