NEW TENTED OUTDOOR RESTAURANT SEATING:

WAIVED TEMPORARY SIGNAGE FEES:
To assist in drawing customers to your location, we have waived Temporary Signage fees for all applying businesses starting on March 20, 2020 until rescinded by the Council. Learn more.
The Community Development Department consists of the following divisions:
Building Division - This division is responsible for reviewing plans, issuing building permits, and conducting field inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with local and state mandated regulations related to building construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
Planning Division - This division is responsible for applying the City’s ordinances and regulations to subdivisions, commercial site plans, conditional use permits and other similar application types. Additionally, this department is responsible for processing applications for zone changes, variances and special exceptions.
- The purpose of the Code Compliance Department is to achieve code compliance so that the citizens of Draper City may enjoy a cleaner, safer, and better place to live. Areas of concentration include: Improvement of neighborhoods, Integrity of property value, Compliance with zoning laws, Enforcement of business licenses and Enforcement of the Sign Ordinance.
Business Licensing Division - In accordance with the provision of Section 6-2-030 of the Ordinance of the City of Draper, each business, vocation, trade, calling or profession shall pay an annual business license fee as found in the Business License Fee Schedule.
