Connect / Disconnect Garbage Services

Garbage Pick-Up Schedule & Map
The city collects garbage on a weekly basis and recycling is on a bi-weekly basis. Your collection days are determined by the neighborhood boundaries. To find your pick-up schedule, type in your address in the Interactive Map or view the PDF map below:
What if my container was missed on pick-up day?
If your container was not emptied on your regularly scheduled pick-up day, call 801-576-6504. New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day could affect your pick-up day. If your pick-up falls on or after the holiday, your pick-up will be delayed by one day for that week only.
What can you throw away in your container?
Your Draper City garbage container is only for household and yard trash (limbs cut in 2 ft. lengths). Construction materials and hazardous waste are not allowed. Please do not overfill your bins or place extra bags or items next to them. Our drivers are unable to leave their trucks to pick up spilled garbage or extra items on the side.
Where can you throw away hazardous or green waste?
Residents can dispose household hazardous waste and green waste year-round at the Trans-Jordan Landfill. Used oil can be dropped off at auto service locations such as Autozone, Firestone, Jiffy Lube and O’Reilly in Draper. Compact fluorescent light bulbs can be dropped off at the Draper Library, any Salt Lake County Library, or any Home Depot location. Learn more about local landfills and other drop-off locations.
NEW LEAF DROP-OFF:
Residents may drop off their bagged leaves from October 19 – December 1, 2020 at the Public Works Facility (72 E. Sivogah Court – 14525 S.) Look for the sign and a large dumpster on the west side of the facility.
How should I dispose of my Christmas tree?
From December 26 through January 15, Christmas trees can be dropped off 24/7 at the Public Works Facility (72 E. Sivogah Court - 14525 S.) or at the Longbranch Trailhead, at the intersection of Longbranch Drive (1690 E.) and Deer Ridge Road (15090 S.).
